What I collect, and what I do with it.

This is my own site. There is no company behind it and no marketing department. I collect two things, and this page explains both in plain language.
Your email address, if you give it to me
When you join my reader list, I collect your email address and nothing else. No name, no address, no phone number.
I use it to send you the chapter you asked for, and after that an occasional note about new books, the odd 99-cent deal, and whatever I have been thinking about regarding movement and staying well. A few times a month, not daily.
The list itself is run by Kit, an email service, which stores the address on my behalf and records the ordinary things email services record: whether a message was opened, whether a link was clicked. Kit has its own privacy policy covering what it does with that.
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It works immediately, and I am not told why you left. If you would rather I deleted your address entirely instead of just unsubscribing you, write to me and I will.
Visit statistics, whether you give them or not
This site uses Google Analytics, which tells me how many people visited, roughly where in the world they were, which pages they looked at, and whether they arrived from a search or a link. It sets a cookie in your browser to tell a returning visitor from a new one.
I look at it to learn whether anyone is reading, and which books people are curious about. I cannot see who you are from it. Google can collect more than I ever look at, and what Google does with it is governed by Google's policies, not mine.
If you would rather not be counted, a browser set to block cookies or any standard ad blocker will stop it, and the site works perfectly well without it.
What I don't do
- I don't sell your email address, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone.
- I don't run advertising on this site, so no advertising networks are watching you here.
- I don't ask for payment details. Every purchase happens on Amazon, Audible, Gumroad or Zazzle, and your card details go to them, never to me.
Leaving this site
Most buttons here send you somewhere else — Amazon, Audible, Gumroad, Zazzle, Kit. Once you arrive, you are on their site under their rules, and what they collect is up to them. I have no control over it and no view of it.
Children
This site is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If you believe your child has signed up, write to me and I will remove the address.
Asking me what I hold, or to delete it
Write to michaelmillerpilates@yahoo.com and ask. I'll tell you what I have, which will be your email address and nothing more, and I'll delete it if you want it gone. You don't need a reason, and I'll do it within a few days — I answer my own mail.
Changes
If I change how any of this works, I'll change this page and update the date at the top. There is no archive of old versions; this page is always the current one.
